Here for the unsung, the unappreciated, and the wrongfully accused.

Part music blog, part personal blog, The Pumpkin Patch spans the gamut of what life and music culture has to offer. Occasionally some scatterbrained analysis of music trends will pop up. It's my attempt to sort my favorite representations of life in the real world while cruising the big virtual ocean of the Internet. At the end of the day though, if it grooves, I'll probably dig it.

YES!!!!!!

To be entirely honest, this provision isn’t exactly “little-noted.” We learned about this in Legal Issues in the Music Industry here at Oneonta (in fact, it accounted for a good month of lecture time in that class). It may be unknown to the average Joe on the street, but to the Industry, lawyers and record companies, they’ve been watching and preparing for it like it was the almighty apocalypse. Shit’s gonna go down real soon, and I would not expect the record companies to really be caught off guard when 2013 rolls around.
